Greens Bust a Move in UK
Jul. 18th, 2008 11:18 amFollow on effects of the last national election cycle over there. Going to a more traditional leadership structure is probably a good move. It would probably be a good thing in the States as well but don't hold your breath on that one.

"Adrian Ramsay, leader of the opposition Green group at Norwich City Council, will today throw his hat into the ring to contest the new deputy post. The 26-year-old has helped steer the city Greens to become the largest group in the country and the second party at City Hall with 13 seats, just two behind Labour. He said, if elected, he would campaign on issues such as tackling fuel poverty and rising costs of living, and cheaper and more reliable public transport.
Last autumn, Green Party members voted to change the party's constitution and elect a leader and deputy or co-leaders for the first time. Green Euro-MP Caroline Lucas, is widely expected to become the first ever Green Party leader. Adrian Ramsay is hoping to be her deputy."
