Date: 2008-10-01 04:44 pm (UTC)The other interesting thing about this clip is how quickly she converts her informational shortcomings into a liberal media attack on Alaskans as being ignorant provincials. Politically, that's a fascinating transition tactic that she seems to have down pat.
Of course it fits a lot of the other stuff that the McCain camp has been doing to amp up Palin as a poor victim of the liberal elites and press. All which pushes buttons among their core supporters of course so they push them early and often.

George Lakoff provided some answers as has Thomas Frank in recent years. I'm still not sure if the Democrats have quite digested it properly such that they can implement it.
Obama's "bitter" comments were certainly a poor recycling job of Frank's concepts for example.
