Looks like the thrill is gone over at Pollster.com in the popular vote. Quite the hairpin turn!

McCain 44.9%, Obama 47.2%

Not so good in the electoral college however. The good news is that the firm for McCain ain't growing much. Mostly bouncing between toss-up and Obama. Hopefully this is a lagging indicator.

Rep 208, Toss-Up 128, Dem 202

I've seen quite a range on those estimates for the electoral college including a few that have Obama up by quite a bit. I think Obama has the momentum at this point. The debates should only solidify it.

Fingers crossed here and then some. Maybe this financial crisis will finish off the McCain challenge. I sure hope to hell it does.

Yes, let's hope the debates only push things even more in the right direction. You just never know about those spontaneous things and what kind of goofy question the reporters come up with that might dramatically change things.

Unfortunately, it ain't over until it's over. McCain seems hell bent on winning at any cost so I don't think there's much chance of any rest on this one until the day after the election. And if there's electoral foolishness again, maybe it will go on beyond that once again.

Maybe, just maybe, this one will go the right way for a change.
