It's Biden. Crap.
Aug. 23rd, 2008 10:39 amI feared this might happen. Obama continues to dull his edge. It's like a death wish with the Democrats.
Seems to me he could have helped things along quite a bit more with a pick of Sebelius or Richardson.
Richardson would have been my preference because he's very experienced, including executive experience, and could have pulled in the Latino vote. New Mexico would have been a surer bet and he might have been able to pull in Texas which would be a show stopper.
Sebelius would have been taking a bit more of a risk because she's a woman and she's not all that experienced beyond being the Governor of Kansas. And I don't think she could have pulled Kansas over to Obama.
On the good side, it could have been a LOT worse. Biden has had some decent positions but it's a very mixed bag.

Date: 2008-08-23 08:29 pm (UTC)Yes, I think the blue collar guys can be that redneck in the 21st Century. West Virginia's Democratic primary showed that in all its ugly detail.
That's why I was for Richardson who could pull in the Latino vote. I'd be surprised that Biden pulls in any particular constituency. Maybe credit card company executives.
Maybe the NOW support will help some with the left of center women's vote. The disaffected Clintonistas.
