New Tricks for Old Dog
Feb. 24th, 2007 03:39 pmSpent a little time fiddling with yet more Firefox add-ons. Decided to limit myself to two new ones.
FoxyTunes puts a music control for my Winamp player in the bottom bar. Forecastfox provides Accuweather.com reports in the same bar. Includes icons for severe weather (which we have coming up) and a mini-radar scan popup.
They join the Zotero web page archiving application which I don't use as much as I'd hoped. I also use the Google Browser Sync for saving bookmarks. Unfortunately that one is always giving me server errors and may be more of a pain than a pleasure. Perhaps this is a dialup problem primarily. The Bookmark Duplicate Detector helped to trim many a link off my total list.
I also took some time to figure out how to do the LiveJournal "cut" so some of my posts can be trimmed down a bit visually for my friends. Thanks to those friends who use the LJ cuts and inspired me to figure out how to do them too.
