My own latest media revolution is in progress. Broke down and bought a SanDisk m230 Sansa 512MB MP3 player yesterday. It was on sale at the local Radio Shack (and Office Depot) for $50. Found out it worked with Linux (drag and drop files) and decided to go for it. Burning MP3 CDs is just too much of a drag and the battery life on the portable CD players ain’t much.

This little unit also includes an FM radio that seems to work pretty good and a voice recorder where you can save the files as .wav files. Not bad there either especially considering the tiny mike they use. Probably not as versatile as an Apple iPod but not as expensive either. I’m thinking it’s a good first step.

For non-mainstream news and other related items check out this page from RadicalRadio.org. Some have podcasts. Now if I can just get iPodder to work.
