I found this item via a podcasting service called PodNova even though this report was not released as a podcast. Someone has set up a text to voice system to make podcasts out of documents such as these. They have that robotic voice as the reader but it's not super horrible to listen to.
Podnova is a nice stand-alone website for searching for particular topics that are covered in podcasts. It also works well with the free and open source Juice podcast downloading software. Juice works on Macs, GNU/Linux and Windoze boxen.
Just listened to the infamous nuclear pitchman Patrick Moore get interviewed on the Dennis Miller talk show as the result of being able to search by topic on Podnova. Funny how this article below, or any other discouraging words, never got mentioned in the context of their "clean and safe nuclear energy" pitch. It must be because all such negative reports are, by definition, "ideology and religion"-based not "scientific and logic"-based like Moore and his fellow travellors claim to be.
Childhood Leukemia in the Vicinity of the Geesthacht Nuclear Establishments near Hamburg, Germany - Environmental Health Perspectives - June 2007
"Conclusions: The incidence in this region is significantly higher than the childhood leukemia incidence for Germany as a whole. To date, no unique hazards have been identified in this population. The fact that the elevated rates have persisted in this community for > 15 years warrants further investigation."
