Not much different than Ronald Reagan's campaign using Bruce Springstein's "Born in the USA" [see lyrics] for their efforts.  Well, that's what you get when the only part of the song you can make out is the main refrain.

Politicians in South Florida have lashed out at the former Massachusetts governor and 2008 presidential hopeful for describing the socialist saying “Patria o muerte, venceremos” as “inspiring” and for claiming the phrase was swiped from liberty-seeking Cubans by leftist admirers of Castro."

Artificial Limb Shopping Tips

I have to admit, I'm a sucker and I watch some of these contests on the very basic cable subscription I recently setup.  Unfortunately some of my faves were on the extended cable channels but there's enough foolishness like "Dancing with the Stars" on basic to keep me burning time. 

Ms. Mills did a nice job dancing and presenting herself, imo.  She also provided an interesting comparison on a health care service available in both the UK and USA.

'How much are they?' Shaun asked.  'It's cheaper in England. America is outrageous. This would be like $8,000 in England, but in American $20,000, and it wouldn't be as good,' Heather said."

Mandatory Emission Caps Okay By Power Elite?

These corporate folks need to give some of the Republican skeptic politicians a good talking to.  I listened to much of the utility panel hearing on C-SPAN.   Fascinating.  The pigs increasingly take to their new wings.

And on Mar. 19, a coalition of more than 50 institutional investors, including the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) and Merrill Lynch (MER), called on Congress to take a leadership role in cutting emissions and setting federal standards on the issue (see BusinessWeek.com, 3/19/07, 'Investors Call on Congress to Go Green').

A day later, some of the U.S.'s top utility chiefs told a House hearing that they don't oppose one ."
