President Obama was his usual above average self. He suffers from being too good of a writer at times as there's little contrast in his speech that would make it a bit more memorable. No one remembers a whole speech. A good line, maybe so.

Rev. Joseph Lowery rocked and Rev. Rick Warren wiffed. I was pretty disappointed in Rev. Warren. Given all the stuff flying around him after his pick, I was hoping he'd step his game up a notch and provide something a bit more inclusive and a bit less, frankly, weird. He seemed to make it through the first half okay but then chickened out on the second by taking the most comfortable, for himself, way out.

What can you say about Rev. Lowery. The man simply brought it! I only wish they'd provided a proper step for him to get above those microphones for the camera.

The quartet was magical as one could imagine given the composition. I thought the poet was quite good too. Too bad she had to suffer with the idiot television directors showing people leaving during it. Who gives a crp about that?

Speaking of the talking heads, I think it's just about time for Jim Lehrer to retire with Robert McNeill. How much more of a muck up could he make talking about the Obama girls? Sheesh. Do your homework old man or turn it over to someone who does!
